A medical transcriptionist transcribes medical records from dictation: letters, patient histories, physical, progress reports, and chart notes. The American Association for Medical Transcription states that the medical transcription business is a $50 billion industry.
You can take a home-study course or classroom training in a vocational or technical school. These schools will usually help you get your first clients. You can also check out internet sites that contact medical transcriptionists. Earnings very, but some medical transcriptionist pay range from $30,000 to $90,000.
